Who Is Egg Donation Suitable For?

Egg donation is a preferred treatment method to achieve pregnancy in cases where women cannot become pregnant with their own eggs.
To briefly summarize the situations that require the cancellation of egg donation treatment:
-Situations in which the egg reserve in women decreases; Every woman is born with a certain amount of reserves, and with aging, this reserve begins to decrease. With menopause, reserves are completely depleted. In case of insufficient egg reserve or low egg quality, egg donation treatment is preferred. Since egg reserve and quality decrease in women who enter early menopause, egg donation will be a suitable treatment.
– In patients who receive treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy due to cancer, reproductive cells may be damaged as a side effect. The treatment method that should be preferred in such patient groups is egg donation treatment.
– Egg donation treatment can also be performed in women whose ovaries are damaged due to congenital genetic conditions or any trauma.
In egg donation treatment, no egg enhancing treatment is applied to the woman. Instead, eggs obtained from a young and healthy donor are fertilized with the sperm cells of their partner and embryos are created. Embryos are grown in a laboratory environment for a while and then placed inside the woman's uterus through an intervention called embryo transfer.
